Tow mirrors - Dimmable?

The only thing I can think of is because you would have to wire them up to dim both the regular and the convex mirror so they didn't put that option on the tow mirrors.

These engineers need to stop thinking they know everything and start making these things all the same. I'll have to try to pay attention tomorrow night to see if they do cause when you go in reverse its suppose to go back to normal.

it because theres no way for head lights to hit your middle mirror if your towing a camper. middle mirror on windshield is where the dimmer is located so ford said leave it out. plus when towing it is not safe if it did dim and you hit someone then ford would be hosed!

I have a dimmable rear view mirror but I'm sure there would be separate sensors for the rear view and drivers mirror, they wouldn't work off just the rear view.

That has no logic for towing vs standard mirrors, so you can't hit anything towing with the normal mirrors?

I think they do work off the same sensor from what I read in the manual.
