tow mirror lower glass replacement ??

So I broke the lower portion of the tow mirror a week or so ago, new ones on the way. Number 4 below.

Does anyone know how to remove the old one? Do I need to disassemble the mirror?

New part is in. So I gather nobody here has done this, so does anyone know where I can find out how to disassemble the mirror? Is there an FSM around?

Gently pull the old off and snap the new one on. Look at the back of the new one to give yourself an idea of how it works.

Looks like there are tabs on it. I considered just pulling on it but I'm concerned about breakage and the new mirror not staying in place. I take it you have replaced yours?
