Default Touchup Paint or Code for Grey FX 20" Wheels?

I could have sworn I saw a thread on this, but have searched over and over and can't find it.

I've got the 20" FX grey wheels and found a nice mark that a rock left on the side of one of the spokes while filling up w/ gas today. I didn't know if Ford powdercoats these or paints them, but it sure seems like the color came off pretty easy.

Any ideas on matching it or what the code might be?

Thanks

Bump, I need an answer to this too before I head to the store to try and match it with some random shade of silver on the shelf.

the dealer used the same dupont touch up you can get from autozone on my wheels when they nicked them during a tire rotation.

Default Touchup Paint or Code for Grey FX 20" Wheels?

Painted a few when I worked at Ford. I always used UJ sterling gray. But not the standard formula, I had to use a different variant.

Using this picture, if you go over to the wheel section, you will see UJ sterling gray is listed.

Its weird because these wheels look like they're a closer match to Ingot silver. But I will look for the sterling. Thanks!

Yeah i've seen those DuPont paint pens.. Did the label on it say 'ford - sterling gray' or something else?

It may depend on what year the truck is that the wheels came off from. I had an early build 2011 Fx4 and the wheels looked close to Ingot Silver. When I traded in my 2011, I was looking at the 2013 FX4 that the salesman was driving and the wheels looked more like Sterling Grey. The 1st pic is my 11 and the 2nd pic is a 2013.

Oh yeah, I was figuring it for a 2013. Your second pic is the kind I've painted

Still never got a straight answer.
It might be kind of like ingot silver, or kind of like sterling grey, or kind of in between.

I've responded to so many threads like this, because I've actually painted many of these wheels. Not this one, but others. I used to get blasted by people saying that, "IT'S NOT STERLING GREY, YOU'RE WRONG!! "

So I stopped replying for awhile, because I must've imagined the work I did.

Now that I see when you posted this, it was before I was a member! Haha.
