Default Touch up paint question!

Looking to purchase this touch up kit, however it says it's only for 2014-2015 blue flame models. I have a 2011 blue flame fx4, am I correct in that the blue flame Color is the same through the 2009-2014 generation?
Just want to make sure I get the right stuff! Anyone try touch up direct before??

I always go to an auto paint store, give them the paint code and get a half pint of single stage paint mixed up. It usually costs under 15 bucks. It is much thinner than those little bottles for fone detail work. The back of a paper match makes a fantastic brush.

I usually use Motorcraft touch up paint. There's no guaranty that it will be an exact match but it's usually close. But the same goes for any touch up paint.

Agree with NASSTY. Check the paint code on your door.

When you say single stage, does this not require a clear coat after? And can you usually get away with small touch ups without using primer?

Single stage doesn't need clear. It will match well and be shiny. I only apply primer if the area is down to the bare metal in a big spot.

Years ago, I wasted money on those little bottles. They are ok for a while, then the paint thickens and is hard to use. The brush is also too thick for fine detail work.

Default Touch up paint question!

I've had good luck with Dupli-color touch up. The latest one's come with clear coat as well. I get them at the dreaded AutoZone.
The black on my 05 and the gray on the 2010 matched perfectly.
My new Oxford white is spot on too, except for the grill surround.
That's just a hair off from the factory, so it looks a tiny bit yellowish, on the one chip, I had.
I've never been able to use the pen tip to fill scratches, so I do tiny dabs and wipe flush.
