Top speed limited??
2013 STX SCab, 5.0, SCT with MPT Tunes.
Anyone know if we have a speed limiter on our trucks??
I've had it up on the ~125 range so far. I will be running my truck in the Big Bend Open Road Race for a few years while the racecar is being built. 125 MPH average (125 being the target average, not allowed to exceed 140) is as fast as I can go without installing a rollbar/rollcage and is the class I currently run my Mazdaspeed3 in. I know new tires are in order, the stock Pirelli's are not approved for that kind of sustained speed.
Obviously to get a 125 MPH average I'll have to exceed that for periods of time at the beginning and after corners that require me to slow down.

You will need a programmer to remove the limiter.

Updated original post, yes I have an MPT tune installed. Since I've had it to 125 I think it's safe to say that the limiter may have been removed... Hell, I don't remember what boxes I checked on the order form or when I installed it.... ;-)

I figured you were just getting numbers wrong but if it's 125mph then it's off. You should be able to hook it up and see if it's higher or on at all.

Not that I'll ever do it but I turned my limiter off with my sctx4, I don't like being limited on anything.
