Exclamation

I like this one...

11. We will not put your concern on the repair order unless we can duplicate the problem. We could not duplicate the problem, therefore you do not have one, so it is not on the repair ticket.

They've refused to document the vibration at 55mph, stating that the force balance of the tires corrected it....The tech says "Ford never reads those comments"....

However, its still there, no improvement.

tech furthermore stating "Its just the harmonics of a short bed truck". DUH

All third break lights will leak if you spray water directly on it to see if it leaks.
After I hand washed the truck with a low pressure nozzle.
I just looked at the guy and told him to fix it.

That sounds like a plausible explanation to me actually. It's not the thickness though it's the higher coefficient of friction.

My favorite is testing poor A/c performance in an air conditioned service bay and telling me my vent temps are 41 degrees. Took them 3 days to get that answer.

My truck was at the dealer today for shaking at idle. They told me my roush air filter (which is sold at another dealer here) is killing my engine and causing it to shake. I told them it's been doing this even with my stock intake and they told me I was wrong. So I have to put my stock intake back on and show them it's still happening. I have a feeling they're going to try and say the damage has already been done and there's nothing they can do.

They also told me my clunking drive line is normal. Flame me all you want but I'm starting to think my first choice of getting a ram 1500 would have been the better route.

So far I've been pretty lucky at Lakewood Ford. Here's their responses:
1. After requesting full synthetic: Me "That seems pretty high for oil" Service Mgr "You right (reduces by $20), how's that?"
2. "Do you need a ride and picked up"
3. "It will be ready by 12 pm" and it is!
4. "Sure we can take care of it under warranty"

Not all dealers are bad (just Dodge)

Anyway I love Lakewood Ford.

True but there's a difference between me asking and them offering always.

This. So hard. Both dealers I tried did this, and said they couldn't properly test the vent temperature unless it was in the shop on the rack. I promised them I never see their phantom "42 vent temps" but they didn't care.

the one i love was
we test drove one on the lot and it dose it to so it must be OK.
or
its within ford specks so just drive it till it dies, then we will call you.

its all cover under warranty except the cost of the part and the labor to put it in.

ford service rep looked at it and they will go back home and try to find a fix for it but it wont hurt to drive it so it's ready for pick up.
