Default Too soon to wax the truck?

How soon do all you girls and guys wax you're truck after getting it?

Factory bakes the steel shell (no plastic in the truck yet) around 400-450°F. You're good to go.

As soon as you want. The waiting to wax theory is for body shop paint.

Yes.

And also from the 'old' days, and old chemistry, factory paint formulas.

Also, look at the build date; most likely, it has been over a month, from build date to delivery at the dealer, if a factory order. And for those who buy off the lot, it could be many months more...just sitting there, in the hot sun....at least its hot now--except for last night/this a.m.--in sunny SoCal.

In the past I've done it the first or second day. I wouldn't wait. If you wanna do it, do it.

I waited a month. The dealer had put some kind of wax on it before they delivered it to me. It stopped beading water so I waxed it.

they probably put a quick glaze on it, that doesnt last too long
