On my 150, I've got a Truxedo LoPro QT rollup, that is only on for the snowless months. My Ranger has an Access LTD rollup, that stays there, and was installed in 2004, the day I bought the truck. That one has had quite a few heavy snows on it, and never a problem.
Both are quality items, but I think I'd go with another Truxedo, simply because the cover actually sits lower on the box rails than the Access.
Both have lifetime warranties, but have never needed anything repaired/replaced. The Access still looks great, even after 10 years.
Possibly, I'd try a BakFlip if I wanted a hard cover, because I like the traditional fabric look. I know one of the BakFlips has a vinyl covering, and looks good, but a folding one seems like it would get in the way more than a rollup. The Truxedo, I remove in the fall, and reinstall my cap, but it takes 5 minutes or so to remove, and maybe 10 to reinstall. If I had a third hand, or a claw on the side of my head, to help with the rails, it would be quicker.

have had several trucks with several different covers. Bakflip, extang solid fold, retrax, are fiberglass, and the peragon...
bakflip - good if you don't care about seeing out back window when you need entire bed.
extang - only way to get entire bed is to remove cover completely.
retrax - has the canister in back of bed and cannot load all the way up
are - pretty much limited to height of bed, not easy to remove
peragon - best by far of all of them. opens up to access full bed, except for a minimal amount in the front, but not a big deal for my purpose. Customer service is second to none, they will be with you all the way through order and install process....

I installed the Peragon this morning on my new 2014 Screw FX4. Installation took about 3.5 hours. I watched all the youtube videos that Peragon has and followed their great instructions. I'm very happy with it. It's hard to beat for the price.

I had the vinyl OEM style with the Ford logo on it. I liked it for the fact that I could go and roll it up when I needed the space. Hated it when it rained or snowed. the weight on the water or snow sitting on the cover made it stretch and I couldn't get it tight again. I ended up selling it and bought an ARE hard tonneau. So far I'm really happy

All, Howdy. I hopefully going to pick up my new '14 SCREW lariat today and am starting to think about accessories. On my last truck I had the ford branded folding tonneau and was pretty happy with it aside from the lock not working 100% correctly. Is there another folder out there that is nicer and/or a better value? Should I consider a roll up? I've been a bit leery of them due to the potential of a large snow load stretching it out. TIA.

I went with an Extang Trifecta Signature Series. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I looks great and takes no time at all to completely remove. My quad is a tight fit in the bed as it is and I didn't want to have any mounting rails taking up bed space. It handles cab height levels of snow fine too.
My dad has an Access roll up and loves it. It handles cab height snow great as well. Only issue was that the clamps were constantly coming loose. But we easily fixed that up by drilling and bolting it to the bed rails.
