Default Tires stick out too far?

I bought the truck with the 6" lift and tires & rims already installed. I currently have 20" fuels with 295 x 60 x 20 nittos. I'm getting ready to add Bushwacker extend a fender flares, but still think the tires stick out too far. Not sure if I can use different rims with more of an offset without hitting the control arms. Any suggestions???

Truck looks great. As far as your question, suggest looking inside the tire and see how much room between the front tire and shocks. If you have room you should be able to go to a mor positive offset.

What's the offset on your wheels? I'm on my phone so I can't see real well.

On my old truck, at one time I was running an 18x9 +18 offset with 295's and it was fine. That was on a 6" Rough Country.

Best pic I could find of how far they stuck out.

Same wheel/tire on just a level.

I have a 4" Rancho lift and I'm running Fuel Hostage 18" wheels with a 5.75" backspace (ie +19 offset). Wheels are tucked in real nice and I have about an inch clearance between the tire and the control arm. In addition, I'm running Nitto Terra Grapplers - 325/65R18 (34.88 x 12.99) which are wider than your tires (your tires are 34.45 x 12.36). It's hard to tell from the pic but my rear tires stick out maybe 1/4" wider than the top of the wheel well. With the narrower tires you have and if you pick the right BS/OS you can get your tires tucked all the way in where they don't stick out at all and fender flares woud not be needed - unless you want that stance and look.

Depending on the look you want, simply take your truck into you local tire center and tell them what you want. They should be able to do the math to figure out the best combination for you.

Also, take a look at the chart below. Compare with what you have then select the right combination - hope this helps and good luck.

I finally had some time to do some research and look at other options. My current rims are 20 x 10 with a -18 offset. I added the flares but still want to change the rims. I like the stance, but want the rims in just a little further, plus I still have an issue with rubbing. I settled on a 20 x 9 with a -12 offset. This will hopefully give me the look I want and eliminate the rubbing. Haven't decided on tires though, any suggestions?

That is only going to move your tires in about a 1/4 inch

Hey Cam,

How do you figure that, this is all new to me. I don't want them to look stock since I did add the bushwacker extend a fender flares, but I don't want them to rub. I'm guessing an 1.5 - 2" should work.
