Tires/Mileage/Driving Habits
It's been nice weather, and I pulled off the Firestone Winterforce tires, and I put back on the wheels with the Hankook Dynapro AT's - and guess what - the first two trips to work and back my mileage went back to the 21mpg average, from the 18.9 mpg I was doing with the snows.
Bear in mind though, that to do this I run right at the speed limits, try not to pass anybody on the two lanes, and I don't drive any farther in town other than to get to the highway.
If my lead-footed wife drives the truck around town it pulls 13-14 mpg.
If I'm pulling the dump trailer (2200#) I'm lucky to get 15 mpg.
If I hook up the equipment trailer and skid steer I'm looking at 11 mpg.
It's kind of surprising how much the mileage varies - I remember well the '92 F250 with the 460 that got about 10 mpg no matter how I drove it.

My 2010 XLT came with Hankook Dynapro ATs sized P235/75R17. I assume they are stock since the truck only had 17000 miles on it when I bought it, but I've never researched that. Last time I checked I am getting 20.6 mpg mixed city and highway.

Before I got my Cooper AT3s, I still need to get my speed/odo fixed, I was averaging about 15 city, sometimes a little more, and 18-19 highway. On long road trips of 300+ miles I would get about 18-20 depending on the destination. If I don't get back to about 14 city and roughly 17-18 highway at least, I'll probably be going back and trading my ATs for Michelin LTX M/S2s or Dynapro HT12s because I'm one of those rare Ford owners who cares about MPGs =P.

I do the same in San Diego but it is inevitable that I will have to go through about 5-10 lights per destination so my MPGs tank at times with all of the stop and go.
