I've had my Corsa db for over 5 yrs and no drone at all. Almost stock sounding until you step on the gas. It has a nice rumble w/o being obnoxious.

The best exhaust I've had was a Mangaflow dual in single out. Part #16518.
As a 30 year old guy in a townhouse. Everyone was happy back then.

I've had flowmaster dual in, dual out. That was okay. Actually had that set-up twice. Both rotted out in a year and a half.
Magnaflow dual in dual out. Definitely a better sound. It had a more mellow, but stronger sound..if that makes sense to you...
Then the Magnaflow single out wasn't all that much quieter on the gas, but was quiet at 40mph and below. Still no doubt there was a V8 going by tho...

My 2014 5.0 I'm not touching. I love the intake sound and people say the stock has a good sound when I'm on the gas. So I'm good now.

Get it through Stage 3.
I love my Banks Monster on my 5.4 , I ended up customizing it thought...Banks only offered a dual out the back on each side or dual out on one side...i brought my dual out the back toa speed shop and they did a single out each side right behind the rear wheels

Flatcakes, we would recommend one of the following systems that retain the factory resonator. These will have no drone, and are almost unnoticeable inside the cabin until you step on the throttle!

Dual exit after passenger wheel-http://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=15461
Single exit after passenger wheel (polished)-http://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=15000
Dual exit after passenger wheel (black)-http://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=15365

Please feel free to PM us if you have questions about any of these systems!

I've got the SType. After burning it in, zero drone, can actually hear the 5.0 running at an idle, nice rumble on deceleration and steady speed on freeway, and can get loud when you put your foot in it. All 304 stainless, lifetime warranty. Excellent workmanship. And not cheap, but you do get what you pay for.
The ATAK is louder, but not totally over the top. The touring, you may as well keep your money and stock system.
The SType, the newer version, uses the ATAK muffler, with a resonator. So, if it isn't loud enough, the resonator could be removed, and a pipe put in.
Wish I'd bought this system from the start instead of what I "had" after many attempts to limit the drone.
This Borla has been on my truck for over two years now, and I'm still very happy with it.

2011 F150 FX4 5.0 Coyote

I have the Magnaflow 14", 3" single in, 2.5" dual out, retained the resonator. Had system custom installed with all welded connections for pipes and mounts. Dual system exits at rear bumper corners with no pipes seen until the angled 3" tips pop out (as muffler shop noted - Old School 70s look ). System was installed almost 5-years ago.

From the day system was completed I've loved the sound; nice rumble, mellows a little after engine starts warming up, great aggressive sound when romping on the pedal. I've been told it sounds exactly like a Mustang GT (not surprising since the same engine with exception of a couple other engine performance items for the 'Stang).

I've been happy with result from day one and wouldn't think of changing it out in any way. Don't totally understand the drone thing. However, I've never had an issue with audio in cab whether music, talking, or using phone on Sync.

See post 94 for my information on what I bought. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/6-2l-2...18049/index10/

Also see Borla's video for what you are asking for. If its zero drone you are looking for Borla is the way to go. I have heard Corsa will provide that as well, but I don't have any experience with it. They look to make a good product.

I have the 6.2L, and see my thread linked above for the details on what I bought. I didn't buy the whole catback, just a weld in muffler. The stock 6.2 exhaust was 3" anyway.
