A 325 x ? tire should probably not even be used in the same sentence together as the word daily driver on a truck.

Why on God's Green Earth would you need a 325 wide tire for anything other then Bling? I would expect those tires to hydroplane on any type of standing water commonly found on today's turnpike or similar roadways not to even mention the headaches involved in fitting them. Using a wheel spacer should be anyone's absolute last resort if at all possible IMO.

A 285 wide tire should be more then any sensible human being should ever need on a truck if they have any concern for actual usability of their vehicle after the tires are installed. you should ask your self why those old school Army Jeeps can got thru Hell and back when offroad as compared to the average wanna be 4x4. Here's a hint, its mainly due to the tire width!

Save the Bling for the hard parkers and mall cruisers unless of course you are one of those individuals in which case by all means go wide as %uck!

Yeah I hear you. The other problem is for an 18" wheel I only have a few options for the DuraTrac
275/75/18 - 33.4" x 11.0"
295/65/18 - 33.1" x 11.8"
325/65/18 - 34.8 x 13.0"
(Stats were pulled from the good year website)

Now they do have some narrower options that come out to be 35"x12" but those are for 16/17" wheels and I didn't really want to go smaller on the wheel.

Maybe I'll just have to give in and go with the 295/65/18's

Billstein 5100 2.5" level (maybe blocks in the rear don't know yet)

Wheels:
Method MR305 NV wheels: 18x9, +18 6x135 (didn't see any posts in the guide about +18 wheels)

Tires: Debating a couple different options

DuraTrac: 295/65/r18
DuraTrac: 325/65/r18 <-- I think these might be too wide with the +18 offset tho?

MT/R: 275/70/r18
MT/R: 35x12.5/18 <-- again don't think these are going to work with only a 2.5" level

From what I gather the DuraTrac is going to be the more practical tire choice for daily driving especially around Northern MI. But the dual pattern on the MT/Rs is hard to resist. Any help would be appreciated!
I have duratrac 325/65r18's on xd series monster rims on my 09 fx4 screw. Same offset as the rims you want. I had a 2" block kit in the front and threw bilstein's on on the .75" preload setting on with them. I have a very mild rub on the rear of the front fender well when turning and hitting a bump at the same time. Say like pulling into a driveway or something. Hasn't done any damage to the tires or the fender well so far, have roughly 30k miles on the set up. I trimmed the front valence with a razor to keep from rubbing there. Worked awesome, looks clean and shows off the beefy rubber. Honestly though, if you can afford it, get a 4" lift kit. If not, I'd get a 1.5" level kit from hell bent steel and set the bilstein preload at 1.5". The kit from hell has a great reputation, and its very reasonable price wise. Grab 3" rear blocks too, makes for much less aggravation when meeting cars at night. I'd also recommend the rear shocks from the 5100 kit. Makes the whole truck ride like nobody's business. As for the rubber. I haven't lost a 1/16" of tread yet and they have been unbelievable in everything. I'm from canada and I've taken my ride through snow that's level with the hood many times. Its unreal on ice, you'd swear you have winter tires on, and no worries about hydroplaning or anything like that. They are quiet and all around prob the best tires on the market in my opinion. I ran mt/r's on the truck b4 and I got 80k miles outta them. Same thing in terms of traction and what not, although they were a little less grabby when taking off on sheer ice. In terms of the mt/r size, you would likely fit them with a 2.5" kit, since its easier to fit height than width, generally speaking of course. The 5100's only give 2.25" of lift on the highest setting however, unless you put in the heavy duty coils at the same time. Whatever you choose to do tho, get your ball joints and springs checked b4 you commit to any kit as they are expensive and if you need to replace them, the cost difference to a 4" lift is not very much, and you get the peace of mind of running a milder angle on the drive and steering components. Good luck man and email me with the set up pics one yur done. Gaultier_2606@hotmail.com

Hi guys, I'm looking at tires to get an idea of what I want to do when I need replacements. Will be running boss coilovers set at 2.25" in the front, stock rear height. I am currently running 275/55/20 on oem fx wheels. I'm thinking of 275/60's but wished they were a little wider. I think the perfect size would be 285/60 but unfortunately that is not a popular size and can't find much. Does anyone here have pics of level and 275/60's? I may add a 1" adapter for width.
