Im not much help bc im not an offset/back spacing person, but i would say stay away from used mud tires unless you can see them in person. if you trust the seller then nevermind.

Sorry Krumsta, I missed your post. No rubbing issues except for one time under a very heavy load and that was going into a driveway a little quick. As for turn radius, I didn't notice a different and can still u-turn where I could before.

Default Need Help

Ok guys here is my problem, I am new to the truck world I have owned nothing but sports cars and Mini Vans. I have read probably 20 some pages on this thread and you guys are all talking greek to me. Here is the info on my truck, 2012 FX4 Crew Cab w/appearance package and the Ecoboost not sure if the engine type makes a difference or not. I am looking to lift the front end or level it not sure what it needs, I want to put 33x12.5x20's on my stock black 20in rims. So I guess my question is what do I require to be able to accomplish this and I have read on this thread about the Bilstein adjustable 5100 shocks will this accomplish what I am looking for. I am attaching what my truck looks like now and a photO from the web of what I want my truck to look like when it is completed with the lift or leveling.

Thanks

PS I am loving my truck.

The pic looks like a leveled 4x4 with 33's, guessing a 2 inch level? You could use bilsteins or a spacer to accomplish this, and any shop that does shocks should be able to do the install. The only concern I would have is whether a beefier tire will rub on the upper control arm with those stock rims. I dunno ... but I would go for it.

Which member(s)? If it's been done please share. Sorry I can't keep up with all the posts these days.

Are you thinking of stock raptor wheels on a 2 wheel drive with a 3 inch level front and 1.5 rear? Because that'll probably work with some trimming, but the OP was asking about without a level. Then again, is an STX a 4wd or 2wd? Or both?

Truck looks great. What difference in acceleration, braking & MPG's did you notice after the lift & tires?
