Tire Selection... your voice matters
Lets say you were to wish for a set of new tires of your choice for your F150 SCrew 4x4. Your lifestyle would be...
- mostly highway/town driving
- hauling a small-midsize rv trailer
- year round use ( hot summers, cold/snowy/icy winters )
- want them to last
- want them to be quiet
- want them too look good ( rougher the better )
- dirt roads and hunting several times a year
Your choice would be
- BFGoodrich TA/KO
- Toyo Country AT
- Cooper ATMAX
- Cooper AT/3
- Goodyear Duratrac
- Canadiantire Territory ( basically a Duractrac... but about 80$ less a tire ) This is by far the best price.
Price for all 5 (excluding the Territory ) are no more than 20-25 $ in variance per tire each cost.
Which would you chose and why ? Which have you had personal experience with ?

Keepin' the lights on!
I usually run the BFG At's on just about everything I own. No other tire seems to be as good at everything like the BFG. They seem to do really good in the mud, snow and ice. They stay pretty quiet if you keep your truck aligned and keep the tires rotated. That being said, the E rated ones are heavy that combined with more aggressive tread you will see your mpg drop. The BFGs don't always balance good. It seems it takes at least 3000 miles until a "final" balance can be had. I have had to in the past return tires because they were so out of round. They are a good tire though and they are made in the US.
Not to muddy the waters but another good tire is the Hankook Dynapro ATm. I put them on my 4runner because discount tire was sold out of the BFG. 30k miles so far and they still look brand new. They seem to hold their own offroad. They do seem a little less effective on ice and snow (Just a tiny bit). They seem to balance good and are quiet too.
Hope this helps.

Fords For Life
I would go with the ATs out of the list you produced but would also recommend you take a look at General Grabber AT2s. I have run them on all my trucks and they work fantastic. Tread pattern is similar to the ATs

I have the BFGs now and they are a very good tire.
When they wear out I will be going with the Nitto Trails. Had them on my jeep and they wore evenely, ran quiet, and when I needed to move some mud, they did that too.
