First world problems? Sure, but also expecting some value for your money, especially when it's super simple to do as all the equipment, sensors, and productivity screen UI are already in place, is certainly NOT unreasonable.
True but the Cruz was not 4wd and capable of hauling a ton or more. It's a trade off. You buy an econobox and they add some gee gaw additions to wow people but its not a solid build and has a small motor with smaller components.

In the truck category, they are improving the specs motor and payload wise so something has to give.

Me personally, I don't care about knowing the exact psi per tire because I am competent enough of a driver that if the low air warning goes off, I can get out and visually tell which one it is just by looking at tire bulge.

Hell, go buy a few dollar tire gauge and get acquainted with your truck.

My TPMS went off on 2 of our vehicles, recently due to nails in the tires. I had to use a pressure gauge on each one to determine which tire was low so no, the 'bulge' isn't always present especially with tires that have stiffer, shorter sidewalls.

Seems to be a bit of anger directed toward TPMS or folks that had pressure displays or wish they had them. Well, I guess everyone is entitled to be bitter about something I guess.

For reference my old Titan had a higher towing capacity and the full featured TPMS as well, 9 years ago. I still like my 12 KR EB but lets be honest, Ford will nickel and dime us to death in order to save a few bucks per vehicle.

Sorry if I offended anyone, just meant as fun.

One of our beaters, a 2007 Caliber, has the TPMS, and throws the pressure readings to the dash. As **** as I am with tire pressures (I'll check each oil change with a gauge), it is nice to see near real time the pressure and identify if one is low.

My 02 van had TPMS, just a low pressure chime, no display.

So yah, you would think the truck would show the actual pressure. No biggie though.

Keep on truckin!

Actually I'd be OK with this to a certain extent....Let me buy an "App" for Tire Pressure Readings on my dash display. But ford hasn't even figured out there is a market for that yet....yes i have a wireless ecm/obdII dongle and the paid version of torque, so i can see my pressures if i want to, but it's just as slow to check manually. I paid for MY truck because it is a luxury truck loaded with convienance features....not so convienant to check the tires once a week though.

While it's not a big deal to me, it is nice to be able to check the tire pressure from your cab. This is especially true if you have to drive somewhere to add air. That means checking the tires cold, then checking again at the place to ensure the correct amount of air is added after the air in the tires has expanded due to heat. I find tire pressure to be much more useful than being able to set my wipers for a "courtesy wipe".

Shouldn't have to check once a week if the warning hasn't gone off.

This next part is a lump comment not aimed at waterboy.

It would be a nice but it's not a thing that I'm going to be upset about not getting in my truck.

I see tons of responses about "we'll my so and so car has it" well then why not just stay I that instead of driving a truck. Seems there are too many people not willing to get there hands "dirty" to own an expensive truck or it is a lazy complex.

Don't worry, my feelings aren't hurt, LOL. I would agree that i shouldn't have to check pressures once a week, but I do. I live in an unforgiving environment, and i feel better knowing that preventable tire issues will not be a problem for me.

I have never owned a vehicle with the tire pressure readout, so I am not missing something I've had before....I just want it. I'm personnally not afraid to get my hands dirty, I just don't have the desire to anymore. Either because of laziness or convienance, not sure which for for me. I have more money than time. I'm a single parent of a teenaged hockey player and would rather spend my limited time doing something other than working on/taking care of the truck.

I could be happy in a luxury car but between the kid (chauffer duties for several hockey players), the dog, and the unimproved, un-maintained road that I have to take to get to work, a truck better fits my lifestyle. I'm sure it's same for alot of others.

As anybody can see by my signature, I prefer Fords. I've always been pretty happy with what I got, but it doesn't mean I will ever quit wanting more and better.

Do any of you remember having to reach over and back to unlock your doors???
Do any of you remember getting up to change the channel and turn up and down the volume on the TV?

We love our gadgets and in this world of technology nothing seems to be difficult however how many times have we bought things with all the bells and whistles and find that we never use them anyway???

I know many options could be available with the technology our trucks have in them and yeah it would be nice to have things of interest to each of us on the display but it would take you 100 miles of driving to get to the display you would want to look at if ford included everyone's desires.....

Too FUNNY! I remember the first TV remote in my house only had a channel up and down button. I think i was about 10 years old then.

Good point about the number of possible screen options though. Which makes me think even more that "additional" screens selections should be able to be purchased as "apps" for the individual user's desire. What is important to some, doesn't mean crap to others. Ford is completely missing the boat on a possible revenue stream.
