Default Tips for taking delivery of 2013 Lariat?

My dealer got my VIN today, so it should be coming in soon. Specs are in my sig.

Do you guys have tips on things to look for? I've never bought a truck before and this is what I have so far:
  • Check all paint for any bubbles or imperfections.
  • Check paint on inside bottom of door
  • Check for any studdering issues on start and at 55-60mph
Other than that can you guys think of anything else that may be issues with the truck that other people have seen?

Thanks in advance

I'm interested to see pics and hear what you think of the new Blue Jean color. Did you get the lower accent color?

Good luck with it!

Yea, I am too. I'll make a full "New Truck" post about the truck when I get it.

I actually saw the color on the 8"x10" sheet from the dealer's book and commented on the color in this post: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/blue-j...6/#post2046463

Don't sign ANYTHING until you have read VERY CAREFULLY, every single word on the document - front and back sides.
Make sure there is a spare tire
And a jack & wrench to change it with
And a little funnel to deal with capless gas tank
Relay and fuses in little sacks in glove box (for trailer hook-up)
Screws for license plate(s)
Owner's manual(s) [and then go download a current one from the Internet]
Test each window open/close including sun roof & rear window
Test sound system - full fade each way & full balance each way - to make sure all speakers working
Make sure satellite radio and Sync/MyTouch have been enabled
Inspect each seat carefully for any scratches or blemishes

These types of things are EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Thanks!

If you decide to buy the extended warranty make sure and ask the dealer that it is a "FORD" extended warranty. Else you will end up with some third party warranty you would have never bought. Seems to be a rash of that happening lately. Buyers are unaware as they only see "warranty" on the contract and no name. When you ask the dealer he will say thats your extened warranty. You agree and sign. However that extended warranty may well be a third party and not FORD. Just a heads up.

You're dealer should have a build date. Mine was built on Monday and he figures around 2 weeks by the time it gets to Jersey. Was wondering how long it takes to build them on the line.

I printed off this from Ford's website. It's their 172 point certified pre-owned checklist. Some of them aren't relevant, but for the interior/exterior it's a great checklist to use.

Your salesman has a delivery check list he goes over with you. Most everything to look for, you will be looking for anyways when you first see the truck, on the test drive, or during the sales persons delivery time.
