Default Thump when stopping

2011 F-150 with 133,000 miles on it. In the last week or so I've started to develop a "thump" when the truck comes to a stop and settles on it's suspension. The same thump reappears when you go to launch the truck from a stop. I can feel the thump, but not hear it. It's still pretty slight so I'll wait a bit longer before going to the dealer. Is this the driveshaft thump that others have complained about or something else?

Yup. Sounds like a dry driveshaft spline. It's a good place to start as far as shotguning your problem. Easy enough for you to tackle on your own. Check out some of the youtube vids on it.

Sounds exactly like the driveshaft thump. 95% sure that is your issue. Cheap and simple fix.

If you have a one piece like me, there is no boot. I think the two piece has one.

You will need the pliers that are for the clamps like on cv boots since it's the same style clamp. I ordered the kit that came with the new clamp and grease when I did the repair on mine. I have the two piece drive shaft
