ohio law is 50% on the front windows, no limits for the rear (doors or window). most people i know run 35% and don't have problems.

Sweet you're a town over from me, and yeah if it's warm out keep them windows down and maybe you'll get lucky lol. Also if you ask around it isn't hard at all to find a shop who doesn't care or maybe for a small fee they'll still inspect you.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping to do...I haven't had to get it done yet here in Cranston as I got everything done after I got it inspected. I wouldn't mind paying extra. Back when I had my lifted 06 F150 and lived in MA, I got a place to accept the 8" lift because of the skinny 37's I had but they said I had to rip the tint off the front windows...it was worth it for sure. It is crazy how many people still have "illegal" tint around here. I think it also matters what you drive and how you are driving.

In Upstate South Carolina where I am, you're absolutely correct about "what you drive and how you are driving."

In SC, you can't tint your windshield below a certain line. Some friends who have lifted their trucks and drive aggressively have gotten pulled over for having their entire windshield tinted.

I have other friends who keep their trucks mostly stock and fully tinted their windshield never get pulled over.

definitly matters how you drive. Hell in Johnston I swear we can spray paint our windows with black paint and still get away with it. Now if you drive like an ******* your odds of getting a ticket go way up, but I have plenty of friends who have dark tint and no trouble (and we don't all drive so slow ) haha

Hahaha...yeah I hear ya. Silly laws that vary state by state. If I was a cop and had to deal with scumbags everyday, I wouldn't want to walk up to a beat up civic with 5% tint all the way around and then get shot because I couldn't see the guy fumbling with a gun inside the car...I get it.

I love SC...drove down through there and camped down by Myrtle beach in Murrells Inlet. When we stopped in Charleston, it was like going back in time and I wish I could move down their full time. Plus your food is amazing...oh and that Palmetto Moonshine is killer too..haha

But back to the tint....yeah the full windshield tint has mixed reviews in my book...having it fully done I can see why that's an issue. Definitely more dangerous but down south in the heat and sun I get why it gets done.
