Default Those of you with 1A Auto power fold tow mirrors. . How did you

Wire up the lights to work as a parking and a signal?

Is there any good write ups yet for wiring the light that acts ike a front facing puddle light to be a parking /marker light? I have power fold, heated, dimming, regular mirrors now with puddle lamps and have been searching everywhere for a good writeup on converting the front puddle to be a parking marker light. There are tons of threads but they are all super confusing and congested and/or are for the oem for tow mirror which is a different beast. I am looking for how to on this with the 1A tow mirror. I'm hoping I don't have to wire something clear over to the fuse panel.

I just googled a1mirror conversion for f150 and several threads came up specific to the a1 and for specific years. Hate to ask a dumb question, but have you tried that?

Did your mirrors not come with instructions on how to do this? I got a used set from a user here on the site and im pretty sure what he sent had instructions as to how you can wire the light up. Think there were 2-3 options on how to wire it depending on when you wanted it on.

I should have the paperwork at home still. Will check tonight.

I'm doing this to mine today, if I have time. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm gonna try using the wire that powers the switch lights to power the marker light. Hopefully it has enough juice. If not, I'll leave it as is because I don't want to hassle with running the wire into the cab from the door.

Run a fuse tap from the passenger kicker panel. Fuse number 40. I'll post up a picture of the plug but you need to splice out the puddle light. Don't use the switch lights cause they come on automatically. They don't just burn when the parking lights are on.

Man if I could find the diagram to the wires going into the door that'd be awesome. Saves from having to run a wire into the door.

It's not bad to run it through the door. But if you have this style of plug you need to drill a hole through one of the little triangles beside the plug. I think used a 3/16" bit and 18 gauge wire. Mine are OEM tow mirrors but it's the same thing to convert them.
