Default For those who don't like the tan king ranch bed rails

Here are the part numbers to convert all of your tan moldings on the top of the bed to black, for beds with the tailgate step:

9l3z-1540602-aa
9L3Z-84291A40-AC
9L3Z-84291A41-AC
9L3Z-9940602-BA
9L3Z-9941019-AA
9L3Z-9941018-AA

I did this because I just purchased a black tonneau cover and didn't like how it was going to look with the tan rails. I figured this would also be of interest to folks with the mono-tone king ranch option, which has no pale adobe on it at all, but still has tan rails. I've seen a few folks gripe about that.

It took a little dialogue back and forth with tasca but I received all the parts tonight and can confirm that these are a complete set. I couldn't find all of the part numbers on here so I just thought I would share.

I'll be happy to post pics of the parts if anyone wishes.

Pics as requested:

Tan bed rails (not my truck, found on google)

I've got the tan at the bottom so it doesn't look too bad. Still would love to see your before/after pics if you have them

Sure I'll take a couple of shots of the pale adobe bottom with the black rails and tonneau when I get a chance

Thanks for the part #s.

When I first got my tonneau I was concerned about the same thing, but it's very easy to mount and I decided that if it just didn't look good that I'd try to swap out the bed rail caps.

However, after I got it installed it really didn't bother me at all.

I also installed Bull Ring tie downs, and I got the stainless steel ones instead of black (they still have a little bit of black around them, but that doesn't bother me either).

I'm looking forward to your pics with the black bed rail caps.

Here's mine with the OE Pale Adobe caps:

I like it on yours because your truck is black. So the whole truck has a black/gold theme.

I didn't mount the tonneau until after I got the black bed rails, so I grabbed a couple of pictures I found on google for a "before" scenario:

And now after, with the black bed rails paired with the tonneau:

Yea without them you would just have too much going on. Nice work tracking down the parts and making it right.
