I just bought the app dash command. Couldn't pass it up for $40 off.

Anyone have a link to a decent wifi adapter I can use before I have to order one off of eBay? Lol.

Yea, it's gives an instant mpg to see how efficient you are driving and a normal mpg but that's not very accurate because your unplugging the obd and I think it loses your history.

You should be fine keeping it plugged in. I do. First, it stops transmitting data when the truck stops. There's just a status light and it maintains the wifi connection. The power consumption is .75W when transmitting. For comparison a regular iphone charging is 12W. Unless you're going weeks/months without driving, you'll be just fine. Also, make sure that in your wifi settings to keep router and DNS blank, then you can still use 4G on the ipad.

Same thing here with mpg's I get ridiculous numbers, like 3000 mpg's, then it goes to infinite. I still have to fill up though I have a tech assist call into them and I'll post what they tell me the problem is.

Also, anyone get their torque and hp calibrated? Those numbers are calculated and there's some values you can change to get it more accurate. Mine peaks at 400hp at 4500 rpm. I assume there's something entered wrong.
This, plus infinite gas mileage is the best 30 bucks I've ever spent

Here is my basic guage configuration I usually use taken from my company truck this morning. As you can see, I show the ambient and intake air temp in the middle.
That is odd that your A/F ratio gauge works and mine doesn't. I didn't know about adding Ford PIDs so I will look into that too.

Thanks

Keep us posted as to what they say about the mpg and how to calibrate for accurate hp. I too noticed the hp must be off because I hit like 500 yesterday and clearly my truck doesn't have 500hp. Lol.

Edit: I think you need to enter vehicle weight for accuracy but who the hell knows the weight of each model truck?? Not sure if there is anything else needed to be entered for accuracy.

Has anyone messed with the gauge screens in the new 4.0 release? I purchased the extended ford PIDs. I have a little buyers remorse, because there's only about 30-40 that can be displayed on gauges. I guess most are actual values compared to dashcommands calculated values? I'm guessing there's a bunch more fault codes that can be read, but I haven't figured out how to use/see them.

Anyway, if I ever have the patience (and the kids are occupied) I'm going to try an get some of the gauges set up using the ford PIDs. It looks like you can export the screens and would be cool to get some on the forum, much like the skins.
