I am running my LT275 70 18 Trailcutter studded winter tires at 36 psi and they seem to ride just fine. I don't get a whole lot of dry pavement time with them though. I did lose a bit of fuel economy with them, but I'd say idling it for 10-15 minutes a day to warm it up is mostly to blame for that.

I didn't realize you get get a 10 ply tire from the factory.
Mine came from the factory with Load range E tires also. I picked up the truck on Friday and the very next day my TPMS light came on saying the pressure was too low. I pumped them up to 60lbs all around.

The only F-150 factory tire with load range E comes on the pickups with the HD Payload Pkg, which includes LT245/75R17E tires on 7-lug 17" rims.

Optional on most 4x4s with off-road pkg is LT275/65R18C (not E).

When you change tires from the specs that came on the truck, you screw up the computer that computes trip mileage and MPG. Even going from LT275/65R18C to LT275/65R18E will change the tripmeter accuracy because of the difference in tire revolutions per mile. Goodyear MT/R load range C has 643 revs/mile. BFG AllTerrain load range E has 656. That's a 2% change in speedo and tripmeter accuracy, which means your MPG calculation is also going to be off about 2%. Going from P265/65R18 to that load range C Goodyear MT/R of the same size will be more than a 2% difference in revs/mile.

So if you change tire specs, then you need to have your Ford dealer or speed shop calibrate your speedo to use the revs/mile of the new tires. That's the only way you can be sure of the actual change in MPG.

thanks for the explanation on the MPG change. couldn't see how weight of tire would have any difference on MPG

Exactly, I have the HD payload and Max towing packages, with 17" tires and 7 lug rims with LT245/75R17 tires, load range E. I will ride them for about 70,000 miles and then get new ones.

Weight of tire also makes a difference. Heavier the tire, the more energy it takes to get it rolling.

45 PSI BFG AT's in 265/70/18 flavor

Rides harsher than the stock GY SRA's and took an approx. 3 MPG hit
