Default 2011 F150 5.0l #2 misfire

Hey Guys, on my 2011 F150 5.0 I had a #2 cylinder misfire. I changed the plug and coil. After a few days the error came back. The plug I took out was full of carbon. The engine does burn oil a bit. Any ideas why it keeps coming back? Thanks

After the error came back did you check the plug again? How old are the rest of the plugs? Motorcraft coil or another brand?

my $.02: don’t introduce any new parts. Inspect plug well for any oil/coolant. Remove cyl 2 plug, coil and injector, then swap them with parts from 3 DIFFERENT cylinders (mark them and/or take notes on what/where you move them). Clear codes and start driving again.

If the code jumps cyls you’ll know which parts to replace or inspect. If misfire stayed at 2, reinspect well for oil/coolant.
