Default Thinking of trading up

Not sure if this the correct place to post this. I am thinking of trading up to a f250 super duty. I really don't know if diesel is the way to go though. I am not sure if I can justify the diesel over gas. I have a 6.2 in my 2012 F150 now. But I believe the transmission is more heavy duty is the f250 and of course the suspension. Anyone have any input?

You might enlighten us on what you will be using the truck for. Do you have a trailer? Getting a trailer? What's it's weight? How many miles will you realistically be towing it?

From your post, I don't see any reason why to change to a diesel or an F250 for that matter.

I tow a travel trailer. The trailer loaded is 9800lbs plus the family and gear in the truck itself. I have the max tow package on my current f150. I tow it manly in warmer months. I tow various other items as well, but the travel trailer is the heaviest. I am also thinking of the future where a smaller fifth wheel may come into play. The fifth wheel i have been looking at weigh between 8000lbs to 10000lbs dry. my current truck struggled a bit going threw the hills of south Dakota. now this was the first time i drove in hills like that, so maybe that's just how towing on steeper grades is.

gettin a diesel now will future proof you against any thing you can think of down the road, if u can stand the RPM's 3500-5K, then a 6.2 will do but get a f350 and ull get the most payload for simalar cost to an f250
