Default Thinking of trading my 11 XLT for leftover 13 FX4

I am happy with my 11 XLT scab but always regretted a bit my purchase since I didn't go all out on options. All the stuff I would like to have like backup cam, touch sync, leather, etc.
Much of that can be added I know but I blame my coworker for getting the trade bug in me. We both bought 80% of what we wanted in 11 his challenger and my truck. He recently traded his for a 2014 everything exactly what he wants model. Got me thinking same.

Local (30 miles) dealer has leftover 2013 FX4 screw with 3.55 Ecoboost, 402A luxury package, navigation sticker $49900. A little emailing and I get this back...
$40,500 plus taxes, fees and adds.

They say they give me great deal on trade blah blah.
Not really sure what mine worth I'm guessing $24k from kbb.

Happy with what I have and love to tinker so might mod a bit.
Not really sure if the touch version of sync is much better or not.
Rest is mostly cosmetic other than the scab to screw change.

I just bought a left over 2013 FX4 with 7 miles on it. I traded in my 2007 Expedition XLT and they also gave me around $2100 of trade in assistance on top of around $4000 in rebates. I financed with Ford Motor Credit at the dealership to get the rebates but I am refinancing with my local credit union as soon as possible to get a better rate.

if you're seriously interested in doing the deal, i'd counter offer a little cheaper or hit them back $40k w/ everything (taxes, fees, adds, ect.). being a 2013, you'd think you can get a better deal than that.

Kinda in the same boat too. Love my 2011 XLT, but would love some of the extra options. We just had a mild heat wave here in So Cal and loaded my truck up with 6 people for a 1.5 hour trip. Everyone in the front was freezing and everyone in the back was sweating due to the A/C being in the front only. With kids a possibility in the near future, having a/c in the back along with the other goodies you mentioned are a huge plus.

That being said, the new body style is coming soon. That will mean huge discounts on 13s and 14s when they hit the lot if you can wait a little bit longer.

Oh I can wait just looking.

Well this truck doesn't have tailgate step and I'd miss that. :-(

They have another without navi and moon roof but with step for $1000 less. But it has 2000 miles listed as new wtf?

Really love the black hid on the dark gray.

the 2013's will only last until they're all gone. it's a gamble to wait for the one you want and get good discounts. i'd wait or start looking harder for the one you want. it can be listed as new with 2k miles. think about it, it's probably been sitting on the lot or other lots since late 2012 and hasn't been sold. lot's of test driving and take home for the weekend driving.

I asked what guy meant by "adds" and I get...
I walked out and checked for you. This one only has Nitrogen ($40) in tires and pen stripe ($150). Some have bed liners, wind and weather packages or other accessories added.

No way I'm paying for stupid nitrogen.
They can take that out and give me old fashioned air. LOL

If I found a blue flame no step I'd just swap over my tailgate.

Really like that dark gray but seeing silvers.

I looked at ones with a tailgate step and it looked like it would be more work to use it than to just use the tire. So I ended up not getting that option. One thing that Ford did screw up on is over engineering the step when all they had to do whas integrate one into the bumper like GM!

Once the stupid handle is gone step is great. Just drop tailgate and step into bed.

Confused on my sync Ford touch and navigation. Looks like same setup from pictures. The navigation something that can be added later?

I'm thinking of a 5.0 too instead of Eco. No issues with mine but not like what I read on here about others. Plus last time gas was high that E85 was looking good at $1.50 cheaper.
