I installed one in my new truck, it's only a month old and I haven't hauled anything at all so I can't speak to durability, but man o man is it nice to sit on and kneel on.

as to the moisture issue, it's not going to trap moisture near what a drop-in liner would.

I'm mostly concerned about hauling mulch - figure it'll be a bear to get clean afterwards, but we'll see.

It was an easy install and looks real nice under my roll-n-lock.

Bed rug is a great product. For my needs, I definitely prefer it over a spray in bedliner like Line-X. It is not significantly cheaper than spray-in, so that is not the reason to get it.

If I was hauling gravel or mulch or bags of concrete every day, I might choose the line-x over the Bedrug. But then again, if I was hauling those items every day, I would have bought another SuperDuty instead of the F150.

As for them coming loose, not a problem if they are installed properly. That means a very clean surface, prepped with alcohol where you are adhering the industrial velcro strips.

I bought a non Bed Rug liner from JC whitney 11 years ago for my current truck. It was a lot cheaper at the time then the Bed Rug, but I don't' see it any more.
Anyways, it has held up awesome still today. Granted I'm not a contractor abusing it every day but it still gets used. Hauling wood, mulch , dirt, even dead deer. lol
Like some said it can be hard to clean certain things, but I just learned to put a blue tarp down if gonna haul dirt or mulch, just makes cleanup easier. Other wise just hose or vacuum out.

It would get kinda damp, smelly with my old roll up tonneau cover that leaked, but since I put on a Bak-flip 2 years ago it stays dry and no problems. Just dry it out in the sun every now and then.

Really torn what to do on my new truck also. Really like the rug for camping and loading gear but spray in for little more rugged use and ease of cleaning. Maybe line-x with a Bedrug Bed mat? Looks nice for the price. http://www.jcwhitney.com/bedrug-bed-...=d50404y2012j2

Let us know what you decide.

The bedrug is absolutely fantastic; especially if you don't haul a lot of sand, bark, etc. I'm an outside sales rep and we also camp a lot with our travel trailer. I can't tell you how meaningful it is to be able to climb into my truck (on my knees) and move stuff around. I can be wearing a suit and not worry about tearing it if I need to jump back there. It's gray, so even tough stains like oil and grease don't show too much. If I do haul bark, it's a bit of a hassle to clean it up; but you can pressure spray the rug without damaging it.

I can't say enough about it for the non-industrial truck owners out there. I've got an Undercover locking bed cap on it, and I'm able to raise the cover and work on my knees in a rain protected area. I've had line-x before, and it too is awesome, but it cant offer the knee and clothing protection for you and your kids that the bed rug does.

I really like the protection of Line-X but like to protect my knees as well. I went ahead and sprayed my truck but also got a bedrug mat and tailgate cover that fits over the spray on. Its a little overkill but I like that I can remove it easily when I need to haul anything dirty but have the spongy bed rug mat for most days. Since I have a bakflip I do not have to velcro the bed rug mat down. My wife hates when I buy stuff for my truck but even she has commented several times that the bed rug mat was a good idea.

Just installed my bedrug a few days ago. Haven't really hauled much yet, but it looks awesome and will work well for campouts etc. Thought about Linex but didn't want to spend the $500 I was quoted. Just put the bakflip fibermax on too.

How well would the bed rug work even if I don't have a cover for the bed. How would it handle the elements.

I know the BedRug is actually made of polypropylene fibers and not actual carpet. They claim they are water proof and that they will not fade with UV light. Then again, so do a lot of other liners which do fade over time.

Had my BedRug about a year now - it's been great! No heavy use but it still looks new. The fit and finish is very good
