Thinking of getting a Bedrug
I have a '10 Scab with a 6.5' bed. I want to get a Bedrug for my bed. I want to hear your guy's opinion on the Bedrug and how it holds up and how what it can handle.

Dan,
Not trying to shoot down your idea, but the two negatives that I see are: (1) if water gets between the bottom of the bedrug and the bed, won't it be trapped and eventually cause corrosion? (2) how easily does a Bedrug tear? Let's say you throw some angle iron or rectangular channel into the bed and an edge snags on the Bedrug and tears it? Do you have to buy a whole new Bedrug?
Just mentioning these things in case you haven't thought about them yourself.

I went with BedTred, same company just looks and feels like line-x, and it's a drop in. Looks great and I've hauled wood and sand with no problems.

I've gone about a year and it's held up perfectly. I've carried all sorts of things back there and it always cleans up easily. Recently I got a bit of grease in the bed so when I get a chance and the weather cooperates I'll be taking the power washer to it and see how it fares. I have a bakflip cover so I'm not normally worried about water getting trapped. My knees and kids are very happy we choose the carpet-like liner.

I'm not familiar with Bedrugs, but are they fairly cheap?
The line-X guy here told me their spray in was only like $300.
Even if the Bedrug is $150, it seems to me the Line-X would be more than worht the extra.

got mule?
Had one on my 05 for 6 1/2 yrs. The bed looked brand new. I had to pull it up some after washing to see if anything was under there. Little bit of dust n dirt, nothing major. DO NOT haul top soil with it, be careful with any mulch or splintery wood. That stuff will get in the nap and it's a royal pain to clean. Dysons and power washers can't do what your fingers can in this case. The rug will retain smells if you have a lid on it, my wife hated it. I wanted one for the 12, but she won't go for it. We moved twice with that truck and nothing ever got scratched back there. It was easy to slide things in and out, but they rarely ever shifted. Going from the Bedrug to a drop in liner is TORTURE on my knees.
