Was thinking about signal lights but.......
I thought about doing the mirror signal light mod, but I really can't stand the amber reflectors. So I decided to do something else.
I got a couple of the plain black inserts and painted them body color. Just wondering what you all think.
Now that I have that done, I was wondering if I should paint the mirror caps as well, or just leave black.
I kinda like it like this, and I am afraid it would be too much if I do the caps as well.

Senior almost
I would do the light mod, then buy the amber lights at autozone, paint the reflectors the body color and then when they flash you would still see the lights when the turn signals are on,, but thats me.....

Can't see how the light would pass through silver paint. But then again, I haven't tried to do it either...

If your leaving the paint on, I would not paint any more of the mirror. would be to much. leaves a nice clean look the way it is.
Its also different than most everyone, new and different have its own kind of niceness as long as its not overdone or gaudy. I think it looks fine.
If you were wanting to do the mod and paint, they have opaque (sp?) paint, though I wouldnt know if they have that color. The paint would look solid when blinkers not being used, but light would get through to some degree.

What is the part number for the piece that you replaced the reflector with? The one I have my dealer is saying that it is actually the reflector itself. Wondering what you bought... thanks
P.S. Mirrors look good, I think you should leave the caps and then paint your door handles so you have a symmetric stripe look

I was also thinking about the door handles, but wifey likes the black look. I may have to put the pants back on to win that one...Ha Ha
