Default Is there a way to get my mileage back. "Somewhat"

I have a 2103 f150 plat with Ecoboost motor when I bought the truck "1/4/13" I was doing average 16 mpg all around highway and street just highway I was doing 23 " well that's what it was telling me" now at 12,500 I'm doing about 11 mpg all around around and 17 on just the highways same type of driving nothing change my truck goes for service every 5,000 miles at ford. Is there anything that can be done to some what better or is it just the motor getting "old" thank you.

if it just started going down it could be the winter blend fuel. you will loose a few mpg's with that.

Check your tire pressure(s).....for every 10 degrees, you will lose 1 PSI. I'd be willing to bet, with the onset of colder weather, your tires are under inflated by 7 to 10 PSI.....

Usually when i see a drop like that my air filter is clogged.. check that $20 dollar fix. sometime ford or lube shops won't check that because it's not part of that particular service the amount of miles/kms

winter blend would be the main culprit, but you said you bought the truck on either january 4 or april 1 so thats probably not it, id say its probably your tires. the biggest effect on fuel usage is your right foot

have you done the computer reset by dsiconnecting the battery for a while. clean your battery posts while you are at it and add no-ox to posts.

If you don't already, run premium fuel and you'll feel a difference. Mine feels smoother, slightly more pep, and I typically do 1-1.5 mpg better with 93.

and pay an extra 20-40 cents per gallon for it.. at 3.26 for regular, you are looking at about 6 cents a mile, at 3.46 for premium you are looking at 6.6 cents a mile .. you might get "better" mileage, but you aren't saving any money - and if money isn't the reason you want better fuel economy, why do you bother advertising better mileage?

I wish 93 was 3.46 up here in NYC it's 3.89 if not over 4 and for a 36 gallon tank I don't even want to think about it. I got to try and do what everyone said here beside using the 93 oct.
