Default Is there a hidden winch kit for the ecoboost

I have a buddy with an eco-boost that wants to install a hidden winch kit. I have one on my 5.0 which was $200 and easy to install easy.
Does some aftermarket company offer a hidden winch kit for an eco-boost and how much are they?

I would be interested if someone knows of one. I haven't seen one though.

I haven't heard of one, but there is lots of real estate in the front bumper area. Im sure it would have to be offset to either side to avoid air flow issues though

The guys at EFR built their EcoBeast Project ofr SEMA... see their posts. They have changed the intercooler to a rad mounted design, and it free's up the bumper to mount a winch in that area. Looks sweet. More than $200 by the time purchase another intercooler and the winch pkg both.

I saw a photo of that truck and emailed EFR about the availability and cost of a kit and they did not bother to respond.

Sounds like a lot of money to have to buy and relocate a new intercooler.
I guess guys with eco-booost motors who cannot afford the expensive installation will just have to play it safe and avoid much off-road driving.

Buddy...its Christmas and Boxing Day.... I'm not at work, and I hope for their sake they are not either. Give them a break, and a chance to get back from the holidays, from what I've read of their project on here, they are very good guys to work with.

I would be interested in buying both the intercooler and winch pkg if you can post pricing. Actually once the intercooler is relocated, the winch pkg that you put on your "coyote" V8 will fit the same opening on your buddies Ecoboost truck.

The winch kit will mount in the ecoboost but you will lose the ability to use your truck.

The answer is to relocated the intercooler, as others have stated, and there are companies working on this solution. Your buddy could always have a custom intercooler made.

OK,

When I get a response from EFR/ Full Race Motorsports I will post up the price for you Eco boost truck owners.

I would have thought by now this would be known and posted on this Forum.
In the meantime I will do the research and pull you eco boost guys out when you get stuck.
