Thanks!
Hi Guys,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I'd like to start off by thanking all who contribute to this forum for the valuable information and ideas that make our F150's happy.
I bought a relatively Plain Jane 2009 XLT 4x4 4.6 3V 3.73 back in May of that year. I now have roughly 27K absolutely trouble free miles on her. I don't know about anyone else, but I "talk" to my truck (She's my baby)! After a few thousand miles, I started thanking her for being trouble free. The response I got was Is that like all the thanks I get? Hmmmmm! One might interpret that as a veiled threat! I decided not to leave anything to chance and started shopping around for some goodies she might like. First came the SS nerf bars to help protect her from dings. I could tell she was happy with them, but that happiness seemed to be short lived! Long story short, I've been trying to keep her happy for over two years now: BakFlip, Ford rubber bed mat, Husky floor mats, Bilstein 5100's around with a 1.5" adjusted level in front, Ford Racing Raptor wheels in black wrapped in 285/70/17 Cooper Zeon LTZ's, Harley tails and Katzkin leather. It seemed she was insatiable! However, this morning after I put a billet grill on her, she said OK, you can show me off now!
Here's a couple of pics early on when the only mod was the nerf bars:
Here she is today in all her (blackmailed) glory:
Hopefully, this will hold her for a while! Sorry for the long post, but I do have some catching up to do.
Best,
Ron

Thanks! I really like it as well. It totally transforms the looks.
Much appreciated.
Thanks. I heard a lot of good things about Katzkin and they lived up to it.

I called them and got a referral to one of their installers in my area. I went in to see them at 8:30 AM. Went over the details and was out in 30 minutes. The installer sent the order in to Katzkin and the new skins arrived back at the installer the next morning. My truck was ready at 4:30 PM that same day!
The standard is leather on the seating areas and something non leather on the others. You can upgrade to all leather, but the difference was more than I wanted to pay.

Hey pal. Ive also got an 09 4.6 3v XLT. Mine happens to be in stone green and is pretty plain Jane. I was wondering what colours you chose for your leather and also if u put seat heaters in the truck. Im thinking I might do the katskinz when I get some extra $

I wanted to match the beige and dark brown of the interior. It doesn't look like it in the photos, but the colors I chose matched up perfectly. The dark brown color I chose was "moca", but I can't remember the name of the beige color.
No seat heaters. I'm from Kalifornia and the few cold days are not worth the cost.
