You lucky bastard. Rudy's is the best BBQ in the nation. I travel all of North America and absolutely love Rudy's.
I only get it a few times a year though.

Recently noticed a drop in MPG again.
It seems my Hub actuators were full of water and locked into 4wd most of the time. Replaced them and my mpg's went back up.

I have 3.73 gears. If you have 3.53 you should be getting better mileage than me.
I also live in Ky where it's not exactly flat.
I get better gas mileage when I am in Texas.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of you guys. I have a screw with 6.5 bed and max tow 3.73 gears with dumbo mirrors. I average 13-15mpg on the interstate at 70-80mph.

I had a 2013 with the 5.5 and 3.55 gear and averaged 18-19 at the same speeds.

These are rated at 21mpg highway.

I don't get that on flat ground if I drive 55, 65, or 75.
Perhaps in kansas on a 90 degree day with no wind at 45mph?
Definitely not anywhere close to that on average.

2014 Screw Eco Fx4 6.5' bed Max tow 4x4 with 3:73. If I keep it around 65 mph I can maintain mid 15 mpg's average including some stop and go driving. That is taking it pretty easy. If I drive a little more aggressive I get low-mid 14 mpg. I haven't done much freeway driving yet Mpg's drop off a lot when pushing 75+ mph, still need to figure out the mpg's at these speeds but only had the truck a few weeks. I run 87 octane.

It's winter here, hoping it improves with wanmer weather or summer gas. Not sure which one affects it more.

At this point I can't see it possible to get 17 with this truck.

I had a 14 3.5 eco, screw, fx4, 3.55. Averaged high 14s 70/30 city/highway. Would creep up to 16 on the highway if I did 67mph. Was very unimpressed with the mpg of the ecoboost. Recently switched to a 5.0 stx 2wd with 3.55 and am averaging 16/19 city/highway. Will creep up to 20 if I do strictly highway in a flatter area.

Wanted to put up an update as I said getting new tires and air filter seemed to fix my mpg but I was wrong. Just came back from a trip of about 600 miles and averaged 15mpg there and back. I used to get consistently 17-18 highway and on long trips 19-20.

I am going to try new rotors and brakes. I already bought the replacements as they are warped but putting the new tires on seemed to mask the problem. Another post mentioned the drag this could put on the tires so I am going to see if that is my issue. If not, I guess new plugs but those aren't mentioned in the book until 100K although I have read a lot of people replace every 30K.

I just turned over 54K miles 13 Eco 3.55 rear FX4 with Bilstein leveling shocks and BFG KO'2 stock size though.
