Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead, but need some info on Tennessee. I'm pretty much dead set on moving to tn but every time I go there I don't see many big trucks so I looked it up and they have height restrictions, are they enforced? I'm on 8" and 37s but will eventually be on 11" and 40s, by law both are too high.
Here in sc as long as its under 13'6 its fine, we have one guy here that drives a super duty on 46s or 48s fairly often and where I used to live a guy daily drove an f150 on 53s lol

Don't see too many monsters out there like you used to in late 90's and early 2000's. From what I remember, though, there used to be a bumper clearance restriction in TN (forget what that number was though). If your factory bumper was a over a certain height off the ground, you had to fab up lower bumpers to bridge that gap. Used to be a lot of guys on 40's and 44's back in the day, only see a handful now. I doubt anyone gets much, or any, grief about it anyways. Used to be able to fill up for equal to or less than the number of gallons you had in the tank- maybe why we don't see many like that anymore....

Old Fart
There are a Couple of Super Duties running around Knoxville that are probably on 40's and there was one that actually had a lower rear bumper and mudflaps on it I haven't seen for awhile.

I guess worst case scenario I could transfer it to one of my parents that way its registered in sc, as long as it abides by sc law it'd be tn legal.
