Talk me out of Michelins?
30k miles and the GoodYear SRA's are toast..unbelievable. Not surprising I guess after I only got 19k miles out of the PZeros on a 12' Brembo GT. Ford should really used a better quality tire across the board with their trucks. Anyways for very rare and light off-road with light towing and mostly highway is anything better then the Michelin LTX MS/2's? Staying stock most likely with 275/65/18

For your needs, there is absolutely nothing better than the M/S2.

Have the LTX's on STX. LOVE them! When they need replacing I'm going to stick with them. I do quite a bit of highway driving so that's a big part of my fondness of them. Plus they're nice and quiet

won't talk you out of it here either. When I traded my Expy for our new Expy, I considered telling them I wanted my LTX ms/2's off of it (they had about 30k on them) and they could keep the brand new tires. I did not do it - and I regret it. The Expy has about 20k on it now and I will probably be swapping them out within the next 5-10k. Not sure if my FX2 will get them also - but it only has 2500 mi right now.
I am not sure that there is any better "all-around" tire in my opinion.

I agree with all the above that the Michelins are awesome tires. I've got a full set of LTX on my Dakota, I had 2 on my Ram before I traded for my F150. I'm just waiting for the Goodyears to wear out before I get a full set of the LTX tires for the Ford.
