Talk me out of buying an F250 diesel

That's an ambiguous statement. Because I've been to some areas of the country where diesel is the same price as gasoline or less. Currently here near Pittsburgh it is about the price of premium and sometimes a little less.

The only thing shewing me away from a diesel is:
1. Won't fit in my garage
2. Diesel fuel price
3. And they say the new diesels are limited to 250k miles before they start having major issues when the new gas engines are said to be reliable to 180k miles. So 60k miles more but spend $7000 more for the engine. It's a tough decision.

I wouldn't say that an engine is limited to any number of miles. A well maintained 6.7 will out last any Gas engine by a degree that makes it a better choice for long term high mileage operation. The big diesel life killers are egr coolers keeping you engine coolant well maintained will keep any damage from getting out of control in that area. But the old 5.0 were said "they said" to only make it till 80k. And I ran one in an 89 f150 for well over 200k with only a nad tps and a cracked exhaust manifold.
