your opinion is certainly noted.. lol

who cares what it looks like in my book, as long as it spends less time hanging out at the service department than my current 2013 F150. those cummings motors are fantastic!

I've owned (2) 2004 F-150's, (1) 2008 F-150, (1) 2013 F-150. All of them 4x4's and Supercrew. The 2013 has the 3.5 Ecoboost and I bought extra warranty because of a similar concern about the turbos but honestly the engine is solid. Much confidence in it. Everything breaks it's just a matter of how frequently, I've found my 2013 to be reliable. The 2013 truck is a MAJOR jump up from the 2004 - 2008 generation in many areas. I have a 2015 Platinum on order but did do some shopping around prior to making the order. I think they all have their strengths and was tempted by the GMC Denali but I couldn't bring myself to jump into it. Their new design is nice but to me it just comes even with what Ford and Dodge are currently offering. I'm just not a Dodge guy but could possibly have been talked in to a Longhorn because of the interior but the exterior design and low tow ratings steer me clear of the Ram trucks. At the end of the day these machines are mass produced with close watch from powerful internal bean counters and my feeling is you'll see that come through on any truck Ford included.

All of my trucks had the painted bumpers and the 2013 I put the 3M film on the front and it saved the front immensely. I drive on gravel and overall the paint has been holding up well on my 2013 FX4 with painted bumpers. At the end of the day it's all about fit for purpose. What do you need the truck to do and how will it be driven.

A lot of manufacturers have had issues with white paints peeling.

Personally, I think the 2005-2008 F150s look really sharp.

Talk me into a new Ford

No! Talk yourself into one if you want it. If not, buy something else.
