Taking/stealing Ideas for Mary
I've been lurking on this forum since I bought my truck in Sep 2010. Anytime I had a question about her I knew I could find the answer here. I have a lot of stolen ideas about what direction I want to take the truck in but am open to ideas.
Let me tell you about Mary. She's a 2010 FX4, SCREW, 5.5' bed. She has the Lux package, no max tow, Sony Nav w/out backup camera, and wears size 20 shoes.
So far, I've done the USB2 mod, Gotts mod, de-stickered, and added Sync Lockpick with front and rear facing cameras.
I'm looking to level or lift her a little, need better tires, and want better performance and gas mileage (not at the expense of performance).
She is my daily driver when the weather is bad but I take her out with the Boy Scouts once a month camping. She may be off-road in anything from dirt trails to sand to snow to mud.
I will post pictures of her progress as the mods are done. I am willing to entertain any and all ideas, but the final vote will be my wife's...

I've considered your recommendations and, though they are both good, I can't do either.
1-Once a vehicle has a name, that will be her name forever.
2-Not listening to one's wife is never the right answer. You can either listen to her and not have everything you want or you can not listen and watch her take half of what you had.
As for the *****, I think they look tacky on a truck.

2010 Lariat 4x4 Loaded
We are in the same boat...just tried hypertec max performance and end up taking it back. When I returned the 4x4 shop did not have the cash to pay me so I have to go back later. Almost bought a K&N cold air intatke but they did not have the one needed. I am not asking for permission, just doing it and asking for forgiveness later
