My tailgate step weatherproofing had turned to the consistency of gum and was falling off. I cleaned it all out with a utility knife and screwdriver - thinking that the weatherproofing material would be easy to find on-line. I am not finding it.

Does anyone know if Ford or anyone sells a rubber piece to replace it? There is only a very tiny strip where the adhesive has to bond.

 

If they did it may be discontinued, the last year of this gen is now 10 years old.

Mine looks like crap too.
