tailgate step issue
I have a 4 month old 2010 f150 with tailgate step and have noticed that the trim for the tailgate step on the top of the tailgate is discolored and doesn't match the rest of the bed rails. Anyone noticed this? I assume the dealer would cover this under warranty since it is only 4 months old and is always in a garage.
I have the tailgate step and haven't noticed any discoloration with my molding. I've had my truck since last October. I'd imagine that this would be a relatively simple warranty replacement.

My '09 is now 22 months old, parked outside in the sun and weather most of the day, and the bed rail trim is still all uniform black. I do, however, dress it weekly.
The dealer may, replace it due to the age factor; it is possible for a defective piece to slip through the system.
I had a portion of the vinyl covering on my steering wheel (very top at the 12:00 position) start to unravel with less than 10K on the truck, and they replaced the wheel, no questions. Fine ever since.
