I have the amp and use it all the time. Never seen or used the other one.

I also don't know anything about the other brand, but I really like my AMP boards. Of course that may answer your question about which is the best by how many are out there.

I don't have tailgate steps from either but I do have AMP running boards and have to give a bit thumbs up to AMP for their customer service.
I recently had an issue with one of my hinges and after contacting them just for advice after I'd stripped it apart and done my own repairs, they are sending me a set of new hinges under warranty - without me even mentioning replacement or warranty.
If only all companies looked after their customers like this.

I have the bestep it works great for me,was slightly lower cost and retracts flush with bottom of bumper and is adjustable.
As a matter of fact know one knows i have them until i fold them down and all i hear is, WOW THEM ARE COOL.
They also hold up well to the snow and salt, "Michigan Winters'
I also have the side step and it is equally as nice,
Im not a fanboy either way. Was trying to save money and found the beststeps to be better priced and a great product.
Had them on mt 2011 and moved them to my 2013 and im still impressed with them.

Right now both are on sale and only a difference of $27. I'll wait for a couple more opinions before deciding. Thanks for all your opinions.

I bought the bestop from Amazon about 6 months ago for $120. Love it and use it all the time. I also like how it folds up close to the bumper. Haven't used the amp one so I can't say, but I really like my bestop one.

I have the Amp step mounted on the driver's side rear. I put it on myself. It is very beefy and works well. The install was quick and painless. Amp provides good instructions. It has two sets of bolt holes that allow adjustment for how much it sticks out the side. A little bit is required to catch your foot on it so you can push it down. It retracts with just a tap of your boot.

You can still see it when it is retracted...it's not flush....but it isn't in the way. It's great for climbing in and out of the bed, particularly with your hands full. Recommended.
