tailgate replacement

Tailgate from a 2008 f150 on a 2014 fi50?
Can anyone out there in F150 Land confirm for me that a tailgate from a 2008 F150 will fit a 2014 model? Both are 150 XLT's. All the research I have done indicates that it will, but I'd like to be sure before I drive 3 hours to get it. Having spent very little time on a truck, the one from the 2008 is in great condition nd even comes with the key in the event that the tailgate handle and lock assembly from my 2014 isn't interchangeable. FYI, as best I can. I am trying to renew my 2014 that has 200,000 kilometers of very hard driving on it. It came from my brothers construction company and was gifted to me. A friend gave me a great cap for it, also from a 2008, and with a small addition of a bit of flashing at the front that you can't even see, it fit on perfectly. That said, as a senior I am working with a very fixed income, so being frugal is necessary. Thanks in advance for any replies I can get.
