Hi guys Ive had this truck for a couple months, its a 2009 4x4 5.4l platinum. everytime I'm stopped at a red light and accelerate theres a heavy "thud" theres no codes coming up and I have no Idea what it could be, my first guess was transmission maybe? thanks for any help!

I have just bought an 09 king ranch, which was doing the same thing I believe you are describing. The dealership I bought it from was going to check the clutch packs in the rear diff. After some research, I discovered what I believed to be the fix. I let the dealership know my idea and the service manager agreed and made the fix. All they did was take off the rear driveshaft and re- apply the fancy grease to the slip yoke splines on the driveshaft. Problem solved. No more thump accelerating for a stop. The splines and slip yoke were dry. It was an easy fix. You might give it a try. Worked for me. Smooth as glass now.
