Anyone fabricate a plate for the tailgate so you could keep the so called stripper pole. I would like to remove the plastic liner and linex the tailegate, keeping the stripper pole. Have a 2013 fx4 screw. Pic. would be nice.

 

I removed my pole and just purchased a new plate from ford to cover the hole. It was less than 50 dollars. My guess is you could buy that plate and then just cut it out enough to accommodate the pole.

 

Not sure if this is what you were trying to do but I just had my bed lineX'd and they removed the cover (with the stripper pole), sprayed the tailgate then put the liner back in.

 

I guess buying the plate and fabricating something is my best option.
