Default Tailgate freezing

Hi, has anyone had there tailgate freezing up on them in cold temperatures? I just installed my Bakflip tonneau cover and it works fine. Now that it's cold my tailgate is freezing and I can't get it open because my Bakflip is in the way. I was wondering if anyone had this problem.

My friend just bought a new Chevy truck and I asked him if it came with the heated tailgate. He looked at me funny and said "what good would THAT do"? I told him it was to keep your hands warm when you have to push the truck to the mechanics shop.

It took him a while, but he finally got it!

Yes I have had the same problem. Tailgate freezes and doesn't want to open, and I can't push on it from the inside because the Bakflip is in the way. I still love the backflip though....

Same problem here. We've had a some rain this week before the temperature dropped below zero and the snow arrived. Every time the tailgate seal from my Bakflip HD freezes to the tailgate. Hopefully once we are consistenly below freezing (no more rain) this will no longer be a problem

I'm hoping that the problem will go away also. It sucks because when I go to use it, I have to wait for it to thaw out.
