I have the recon. They are about 2 months old and keep getting moisture in them. Bought mine through catocinoffroad.com. Had the best price. They played middle man for me and I have a new set from recon on the way as we speak. Their first " suggestion" was for me to silicone the edges but when I told them that was their job not mine then they put some in the mail. So my customer service experience was pretty good. Here are a few pics

Lucky for you most retailers will give you like 14 or 30 days and then anything beyond that you have to deal with the manufacture for warranty. After 90 days with Recon if the leak or fail you're on your own.

The Recons look good but it seems to be a common thing though with many aftermarket tail lights to have condensation or some sort of moisture intrusion I've seen reports of this with Recon, Anso, Spyder etc. It just seems they don't have the same quality control as OEM and it's a shame because they charge good money for them. So far I've had my Anzo's in for just over a week and no issues (yet) lots of humid weather at the moment so we'll see.

Yeah they had a 30 day warranty but they offered to be the middle man. I thought that was above and beyond in customer service. That's why I threw their name out. Price was good compared to other places I checked. I think they mainly carry lights. Thought the op might wanna check them out. I'm going to get some black silicone and hit the edges before I put these on in hopes to super seal them. I wanted the new pair cause down the road I didn't know if the moisture would cause some electrical problems with the LEDs. By the way those lights you have are sick I didn't see them when I was in the market.

Yeah I'd go safe and silicone them If I were you. If the moisture gets into the LED circuitry they will most likely fry and you've got your self some book ends for a coffee table or something.

I did a custom retrofit. Bought the lights from the reftrofitsource. They make a great product, very happy with them.

Probably a good route to go. Retrofit's if done right will get more love and attention then some of the aftermarket stuff out there.

Pics or didn't happen.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but the more I look at the recon smoked tails I seem to feel like the actual plastic is clear and the inside plastic is black. Whereas the dark red recon tails are VERY dark red lenses. I have a black F150 and I want to have my tail lenses look tinted with LEDs and I thought that the smoked recons would achieve this look. I guess what im after is anyone with smoked tails can you comment? I am trying to go for a blacked out look with the truck
