Default Tail light electrical question

Recently my 2012 XLT Supercrew has started having issues with the driver tail light. The passenger side has no issues. The bottom light went out a couple weeks ago, and I replaced it as well as the socket that it plugs into because the socket looked corroded. However, it just started having the same issue again with a brand new bulb. When I unlock the truck, the bottom light will glow, but noticeably dimmer than the other side with the same bulb. When I lock the truck, the rest of the lights light up as it locks, but the bottom light stays out. It comes on as a running light, but still dimmer. It also will not light up on that side when using my turn signal or brake.

All the other lights work fine, it’s just the bottom drivers side that is wonky so I don’t think it’s a ground or fuse issue. Like I said, I replaced the socket, but do y’all think I should replace the pigtail too? It didn’t look very badly corroded, and I cleaned it up and put some dielectric grease on there. Could there be a short somewhere?

Any help is appreciated!
