Default Tail gate lift assist

Hi I am a relatively new ford owner [Dodge up untill 6 months ago]. Ibought a new Ecoboost in may and I couldnt be more pleased with it. Can anyone tell me if the lift assist torsion bar in the tail gate is adjustable. I have the optional tail gate step and it doesnt seem to give much lift assist.Mabey im just getting old and weak but it feels a lot heavyer than past trucksBubbabud 2011 XLC SC Ecoboost

Trust me, it is working! On my 2010 I didn't have the tailgate step and the tailgate seemed to weigh nothing. That step and stripper pole is heavy.

It is worth it!!! I bought my F150EB FX$ just about a month and it is my FIRST truck ever!! it came with the tail gate step assist and I love it!
I'm not that old 4x but to go up and down to find my tools and staffs the step and the bar is well worth it!
no the bar is not adjustable and I have used it just couple times only.

The one thing that I suggest is that you get an EZ Down.. Love it!
it takes you just 10 minutes to install and it change your life a whole lot easier!! just open and let the smooth opening of the gate comes down....
