Which way does your door lock turn?
Usually (well always) I use the keyless entry, but today I spaced, and used my key to unlock the driver's side door.
I was surprised that turning the key to the right locks the door, and turning it to the left unlocks it. It also felt WAAAY different from my old truck, as the key only moves maybe 1/8 turn to the left, and it's not what I would call smooth at all.
Can one of you put my OCD to rest and try the key in your 2009+ driver door? Same thing?

Unlocking or locking my driver's door by key is very stiff. So stiff I thought it was broken. You really have to put a lot of force in to turning it. It would take less effort to punch the lock out.

yeah, every ford I've owned has been forward for unlock, the 94 chevy I had for a short while was the opposite, I think forward should be unlock, just seems more natural to me, but mine seems pretty smooth to operate though...

Sounds good - normal then. I definitely thought something was wrong with the amount of pressure it took to unlock the door.
Totally different from my old 'yota. Thanks for the replies.
