Default SyncMyRide.com now working

Well, boys and girls - Yesterday I went out to sync to see if the download was working yet and discovered the whole site was mostly down and wouldn't even let me log in any longer. (I assumed that was because of the e-mail I sent them complaining about the download not working.)

So I went to owner.ford.com and found I couldn't log in there either. I called the 800 number and talked to a customer service person who assured me that I was an idiot and "of course the site is working". They would use my home phone number to go access my information and change my password and tell me what my ID was (since obviously I had forgotten it). Oops! I can't seem to bring up your information. What do you know, the site is not working. I will have to report this. I don't know what, if anything, they will do about it. I don't know when, if ever, it will be fixed. Is there anything else I can help you with on this beautiful day? Not really. That's pretty much the same response I get from my dealer's service department when I have a problem.

But today, just for S***s and giggles, I went out to see if by any chance syncmyride.com was working. AND IT IS! So I tried downloading the sync status checker software to my USB memory stick. AND IT WORKS NOW, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 6 MONTHS!

So if you want to check the sync status and run a health report on your vehicle, the software has finally been fixed. It would probably be a good thing if the first couple or so people that try it post their results.

Have a good one!

That's the sort of error I was getting yesterday, but today it was working ok for me. I just went back and logged out and back in again and it still works for me. Maybe if you delete the cookies for that site, or refresh the login screen (with function key F5)??

Worked for me.

Not sure what this did, but I downloaded the file, installed on my truck and reported back.

Don't think any versions changed or anything, but at least something worked..

Worked for me! Signed up, not sure why? Not sure the benefit? I wish I could start my truck with my phone like my friend does with his yukky chevy!

Took maybe a 30 seconds to DL the file to my flashdrive, and that's from my work PC which is the slowest thing next to an abacus. The install to my truck was maybe a minute.
