2012 non Sony, non nav system.

Bluetooth does not turn on from steering wheel or dashboard. Push button, nothing happens ( no icon on display).

The voice command button on steering wheel also does not work
All other radio functions seem to work normally.

Have turned unit off/on several times. Also have turned off/on ignition several times since it began.

Any hints or suggestions?
Does SYNC possibly have a seperate fuse from the rest of the audio system?

 

Passenger kick panel, second fuse from the top (blue) pull and replace, this resets the system. I do this once a month when my SYNC stops responding after I uploaded the new V4.4 on my 2012. Its a PITA but it seems to do the trick.

 

SYNC on my other Ford (Fusion) used to do this every month or so when I first bought it (2008). It was upgraded a few times and hasn't done that for years. The F150 did that once after we got it, but not since (and hasn't had a software update).

In any case, the fuse is the trick.

 

I hit the "menu" button on dash until I got to "pair phone", pushed that...instantly it all started working again.
I will remember the fuse trick if I need it in the future, though.
